Cool Accessory Lights-Bulb used

I did a faux pas yesterday. My battery was down so I jump started the R3 with an automotive booster box and now my factory fog lights (right & left) are fried. The fuse and all other fuses are fine but today I opened the front of the housing to check the bulbs and it pulled out in a very odd way. I have a glass bulb with only about a 1/4 inch long contact wire extending straight out from the edge of the glass base. I can see the other wire still in the housing semi welded to the contacts. I have never seen a bulb like this. Did I maybe just pull the glass out of the bulb base & the base is still in the housing? Unfortunately the owners manual is all I have to go on right now but it is of no help since the optional fog lights are not covered in it.

While I am messing things up, the lens has a metal blocker shading half of the glass from inside. Does anyone know if this could be removed for more light going forward or does it somehow direct the beam more properly?

Unhappy

Well, in case anyone else ever has an accessory light out, you can only buy the entire light unit from Triumph. It seems I busted the bulb when I removed it. Sure looked like you should just yank it out after you take the 2 screws out & pop off the front lens. Sure would have been nice if it were covered in the owners manual too. Guess I should shell out for a service manual.
Live & learn,
