I found this on their FAQ's:
"I Just Installed TuneBoy And I'm Getting An Error "oleaut32.dll is out of date." What Can I Do?
Copy the oleaut32.dll from the TuneBoy directory into the windows\system32 directory and it will fix the problem, this problem is caused because the copy of oleaut32.dll on your machine is older than the version that TuneBoy requires. "

OK...I tried another experiment. I downloaded, from the website, the latest TuneBoy v.3.4.2 and the USB drivers. I installed all of this on a different computer that is brand new. Can you believe it, the exact same thing is happening with this one! I must be doing something wrong if nobody else is experiencing this. I got TuneEdit to communicate with my ECU but TuneBoy Diagnostics won't even open.
As far as the .dll error, I don't get that message at all. It's just that, when I double click on the TuneBoy Diagnostics shortcut icon, nothing happens. This is probably something simple but I have no idea of what it is. Thanks-Ken.

I just installed 3.4.2 onto my desktop at work (after uninstalling what I had previosly installed) and copied all the USB driver stuff into the same tuneboy\tuneboy directory with the programs. TuneEdit opened up OK but Tuneboy wouldn't open. Fancy that. I bet Wayne is looking into your problem. He answers even my stupid questions.

Thanks for trying that Dougl. I am somewhat vindicated by the fact that the latest version of TuneBoy Diagnostics wouldn't open for you either. Maybe I'm not totally stupid after all. I have spent the last 3 days trying to figure out how to get this program to run. I did finally receive an e-mail from Wayne this morning with a suggestion to download a new TuneBoy Control.dll into the directory. This file is v.2.4.1.0. I was hoping that would take care of it but, alas, it didn't help. I reported that back to Wayne and, hopefully, he will come back with something else for us to try. Thanks again-Ken B.

My Tuneboy system on the laptop I use to connect to my bike was installed from the CD. This was quite a while ago. While I have re-loaded newer TuneEdit versions, I believe I'm still running the original Tuneboy.exe. If you PM me your e-mail, I could send it to you.

If that is v.2.4, that is still available on the website. That's sort of a last resort for me. If Wayne can't get me up and running on the new version, I may have to resort to that though. If others can't open the new version either, he will have to fix that pretty quickly, I would think. Anyhow, I'm waiting to see what he will come back with. Thanks-Ken B.

I can't tell what Tuneboy version I have but it's dated 5/5/06. This must be a pretty early version since all the maps from the Tuneboy web site are dated March or April, 2006.

pod filters
Quite an interesting article. My question is if I were to install those K&N pod filters would I have to keep the original underseat filter in there? Or would I have to take it out.thanks

Adamo- the pod filters and K&N's are two different things the pods are Uni-filter foamies and the K&N's are well typical K&N cotton gauze. When going to the triples you can remove all of the intake ducting/plenum. Here is a how-to I did a while back on the under tank K&N setup. It's not too far off of the triples.
