Hi guys, has anyone done an install on a Rocket of this horn?

http://www.casporttouring.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=Stebel11135& Category_Code=new

If so where and how did you mount it?
Pics would be helpful.
Thanks,

Jim T.

I think you could mount it just about anywhere. I have one on my truck and didn't even need a relay.

Stebel Horn Mount

It fits great behind the lh sidepanel with a short strip of steel to attach it to one of the adjacent frame bolts, you'll see them easy enough. The horn will fit just in the space below the 3 relay bank.

You will need to plug the relay to the original horn wires under the tank by pulling them from the horn on the steering and routing them back under the fuel tank.

Run a 20 amp fused wire from the positive battery terminal to the relay and another to the Stebel horn from the relay, the final connection is from the Stebel horn to the negative terminal on the battery or a good earth.

The current in the original horn circuit is not heavy enough to power the Stebel which is why you will need the relay on this particular machine.

Follow the circuit diagram which comes with the horn and you will find it's the same. I just can't remember which terminals I connected to which wire.

You will need about 2 metres of 20 amp wire, 4 x 15 amp female spade connectors. 2 ring terminals to fit the battery wires, a 20 amp inline mini fuse holder and a soldering iron. I tried crimp connectors and they will break.

Mine works great, very slightly dulled by the sidepanel but still deafening

fog lights present?

With the description you described, I have that space already occupied with the Triumph fog lights. Will I still have room?

I too mounted mine under the LH side cover, but I took it one step further: I wired the original horn in with the Stebel. They both go off at the same time!! IT'S LOUD!!!!!! (I like it that way)
