I wanted to see if anyone would be willing to tune my rocket via tuneboy for a little dough in the chicago suburbs area...if you are interested let me know.

btw i'm happy with my triumph tune but EVERYONE is telling me that there is power to be gained using the tuneboy.

You can only do this if you pay for a license key with Tuneboy. It locks into individual ECU serial number. They cost $199AUD so whatever that equals in dollars today.

Some dealers will update your tune code for free... Mine wasn't one of them. But it only cost $50. I suggest take it into the dealer and have them do whatever they do for the idel bulletin. The two are tied together. You might get your tune done for free!

My $.02

I think he wants to eliminate the 7% retard in the first 3 gears. He already has the correct tune installed.

Unfortunately no. The only way to remove that is with the Tuneboy.

If you have the TOR/cat bypass setup and you buy Tuneboy, you can load a tune (20050_2) generated by Tuneboy Wayne on a dyno. This will work well without you having to find a dyno tuner to custom map with Tuneboy, which could prove difficult. You will get back the power limitation in the stock tunes and correct your speedometer. You can also make some changes in the 20050_2 to eliminate backfiring on decleration. If you start getting greedy for more power, you can put on Unifilters or K&N's and load Wayne's 20050_3.

You could spend an endless amount of time and money on performance mods. Where are you going with this? Do you want to break 11 in the quarter? 10?

Just want the bike to run as best as she can with my TOR/bypass and K&N air filter. It runs great now but everyone is telling me i'm losing 5-10 RWHP without a tuneboy. I'm thinking about hitting byron dragway this september and doing a few 1/4 mile runs there. What should the bike run with my mods and tuneboy?

I have no idea about the 1/4. You'll gain a couple of peak HP (around 6000 rpm) but more important, you should gain 10-12 lb ft of peak torque between 2300 and 3300 rpm. This is where the stock Triumph tunes limits the power.
