I am a new member on the triumph site. My neighbor owns a triumph rocketIII and it's just a matter of time before he sells it to me. I have been bothering him to sell it to me for 2 years. I have a couple of question.
1: When I look at the store.motorcyclegearshops.com the flyscreen for 279.00 does not look like some members flyscreen. It seem like some of you members have 4 bolt heads holding the screen. On the site it looks like there are missing the bolt. Is this because I need to purchase the front fixing end kit?
2:On the same site they offer a tall and short sissy bar with rack. My wife likes to ride with me so I would like to know if I am better off with the short(looks like there is not much back support, or the tall(more back suppot, but kinda high). Any members with experience on these pieces.thanks

Check this out: $252.

Rocket Fly Screen

Same picture but it's wrong. There are 4 bolts. 2 for each bracket. The bracket bolts to the same front end fixing kit (that goes on the forks) the other screens bolt to. You need to buy the fixing kit too.

Yup to mount any of Triumph's you need the fixing kit. Gets pretty pricey for a flyscreen. There are aftermarket alternatives such as Windvest if you only want a modest amount of wind protection. A small one ~$350 complete with quick-release mounting hardware.

thanks for all your help. This site is Great. I will purchase the flyscreen with bracket package. I think I will go with the high backrest. The short one seem kinda low. My wife will probably complain that it does not support her back if I purchase the low one.thanks

I have the low one, and my fiancée finds it perfectly comfortable. Of course, your mileage may vary. It's a tough call without having one of each mounted on demos so you can actually try them out.
