... i.e. besides riding futher into senility:

What started out as a red Rocket in Oct. '04 has been gradually enhanced (?) as follows:

* Jaguar Racing Green metallic paint, Paul Design, Switz.
* Mad Dogs Mk II pipes, Australia (readily TOR tune-compatible with the cat ON)
* Wilbers 633 rear shocks, Germany
* Wilbers progressive fork springs (require SAE 7.5 oil)
* Various Rivco chrome covers: exhaust flange, swing arm, diff ring, etc., US of A
* Rivco license plate and turn signals relocation kit
* Carbon fiber mini front guard and fork gaiters, Palatina, Germany
* Carbon fiber "bearclaw", BikeJohnny, UK
* Solo leather seat with faux carbon finish, Corbin "FastGun", US of A
* K&N air filter, w/o snorkel

Most of these changes have been for the better. I only have residual misgivings about the Corbin saddle which is kind of hard. But I guess my butt has since been tanned accordingly.

Hope you find this worth reading, if not... inspiring. Jamie

:wink:

Is there any choice? :wink:

Hi, Jamie, very good to hear from you again. Sounds as if you've kept busy with your Rocket.

Since we last saw you here, I had to part with mine to be able to do entrepreneurial things, but I still check in with the other captains here from time to time. She found a good home, fortunately. I still miss old Gracie a lot, and may console myself with either a "plain" Rocket or a Classic next year. Somewhere between then and now, though, there may be a naked 675 with my name on it somewhere too. I think it'd be great to have the two size extremes of the Triumph product range!

Of course, that raises the question of what to do with the other Triumphs still in the stable at this time. But it's a problem I don't mind having.

Hey John, that new Street Triple sounds like a hot little number to me. Have a look at www.triumphstreettriple.com but make sure you test ride the new Tiger while you're down at the stealership! Triumph must have some of the brightest designers on board at the moment as they sure are on a roll with their new models. These bikes seem to possess the extra something that other manufacturers can only dream of. The other day I had to leave our Honda ST1300 at the dealership so they gave me a Honda 600 Hornet to ride home. What a POC that bike is... no real power unless you rev'ed the thing to kingdom come and the suspension could only be classed as low rent. Aweful bike!
