Didn't like the backfiring, and the dealer could not eliminate it. Did have more power, though.

Dongee
Spend another $400 on Tuneboy to get rid of the backfiring.

Has anyone tried the Mad Dogs Mark 11 From Australia they are 3 in to 3 and sit lower on the bike

Just to make sure I'm not missing any new product. Are these the same Mad Dogs listed at NewR3.com. I haven't found any reference to "Mark 11" and I can't find a Mad Dog company website. The only Mad Dogs I've seen are 3 into 1 into 3 and require either the cat or a by-pass, basically a cat-back set of silencers.
Just to put you all in the picture, we modified the Mad Dogs early in the piece (about two years ago) by lifting the right lower pipe closer to the right top pipe to increase ground clearance on right-handers and improve the look. To differentiate the new pipes from the old, we called them Mad Dog "Mk II's" however since some time has now passed, we have dropped the "Mk II" and simply refer to our pipes as Mad Dogs.

At the time, we offered a replacement right lower pipe for owners to update to the new Mk II specification. All pipes currently in stock at newbonneville.com will be the newer pipes.

Mad Dogs used in conjunction with the standard cat box will generally produce around 135rwhp at max revs and around 145ft/lb of torque at a nice and low 2500rpm. Davo

I think the Jardine's are the way to go if you can get by the look. I have an '05 that gets 147.5 rwh and 158 torque. I thave Tor's, reworked the air system with three external filters and cut the bear claw for custom fit. I removed the top butterflys and am running a power commander--not popping at all. I think that is about all you can get out of it with getting inside the engine.

if you ever come to Augusta you can hear my Jardines.

sotp difference between my current setup and stock..

it went from wow, to HOLY F%%%%% SH&&&&

bout the best I can describe it.

My only complaint from Jardines is I wear a full face helmet all the time and get some resonance in the helmet ( may just be my helmet type) but I wear ear plugs anytime I ride any bike so it negates that.
Newer Jardines come with a slightly more mellow baffle, I plan on upgrading to the new baffles when I ceremic coat the whole system inside and out.
