I have had my Rocket 3 about 135mph and it seemed to have some sort of speed limit cut out. Has anyone else had this happen?

Yep. Classics are limited to 121 mph and standards 136 mph. The speedo also reads about 6% fast. It can be removed though.

I'm pretty sure that my 2006 classic speedometer read 135mph! Has anyone ever found top speed with out the limiter?

Yes both engines are the same however there are tunes for the classic and for the standard models. The only difference being the speed limiter kicks in earlier on the classic tunes. To see it with your own eyes download tunedit program from tuneboy and compare tunes (it's free).

kingpinnh- could be one of two things, speedo error causes higher reading on your speedo or your dealer loaded a standard tune instead of the classic only tune.

I believe in all gears except 5th there is a rev limiter which lets you bounce off the limiter. In 5th it is managed by fuel cutoff. The fuel starts to cut just prior to 6300 RPMs, doesn't feel as abrupt.

I'm pretty sure it has the standard tune, I was running with a Honda rune that claimed to be going 132mph, and I passed him. Thanks for the info.
