After 10 weeks of snow cold and sand all over the roads, last weekend it was about 55 degrees. I got the R111 out and took it for about a 30 mile ride and I have to tell you that there is no greater rush than to crack open the throttle on the big thumper and let the good times roll. I had to be extra careful because of the sand but it was worth it because it just makes you feel alive. I sure hope that all that white stuff that's known as global warming goes away because it's time to ride.

We don't get snow here, but it's been raining a lot lately, so I understand how you feel - I rode to work last night for the first time in only a week, and oh boy :-D

God bless the Rocket

Sorry for your pain that's gotta suck when you can only ride a few months a year. Riding here in Southern California is a year round event. This past week was 75-85F. Warm enough without a jacket. Even saw a few riding in shorts!!!

Ride on.

Hey rocket3, normally here in Denver and the metro area, bikers can usually ride year round, just have to dress a little warmer in the winter. This year has been an exception, Ive been riding for many years and usually I can get my bike out every 2-4 weeks, Ive ridden up to the mountains to Colorado's gambling towns black hawk and central city in December and January, but this year has been very different, 2 weeks ago I was able to get my bike out for a very short ride, today I was able to take it up to the hills, and the only thing good about not riding for the last 11 weeks is how good it finally felt ridding it today. Well Ive said enough I just didn't want you to have the wrong impression of Denver, I have a friend who moved to Minnesota, him and his wife have Harley's, they REALLY only get 3 months a year to ride their bikes, I feel terrible for them.
:hihi:
