Are there any vendors out there offering a leather tank bra for the R3? I've seen what Triumph offers, and am looking for an alternative.

I have thought about the tank covers, but I worry about them wearing the paint...has anyone with a cover had that happen? thanks Lee :hammer: :hammer:

I really like my Triumph tank cover, with the handy pocket. It does scuff up the paint underneath over time though.

I like the Triumph cover a lot, even tho it's over-priced (as is everything else from them ). I bought some clear plastic at a fabric store for pennies and put it between the bra & the tank to prevent scratching. I haven't removed either since installing. I "hope" everything is working as "planned". If not, who cares? It's "covered" either way!

Yes. Bagster. Check their products out on http://ww.bagster.com. Good, Rocket-specific stuff. Best. Jamie

All I see on the Bagster site are some fancy ultra-modern tank bags...did I miss something there?

What I'm looking for is a good old-fashioned leather bra to strap on that 46 double-D sized breast/gas tank.

The folks at Chilowee said they would work with me on a design. Guess I'll go that route, and keep y'all posted on the progress.

Bagster only produce the "fancy" stuff you''ve seen on their site. It's a patented design made up of a wrap-around tank cover with clips on the top of it to which a color-coordinated bag can be easily (that's 2 seconds!) attached or removed. It's highly popular in Europe. I have used the Bagster product on two of previous bikes of mine (NOT on the Rocket, for aesthetical reasons) and would recommend them... Best. Jamie

I've a full leather tank cover on my VS1400. I'll see next time I'm that far into a body wash to see the brand. It has never over 10 years caused scratches. And I know it must have been cheap. But keep in mind we're not talking about a training bra. As for scratching the paint: Several, repeat several, well applied layers of Carnuba wax is my solution to dust scratches.
