RAT leader from Cycle Barn, Lynnwood/Seattle Triumph dealer sent this out today-

"AND - almost forgot - our Triumph Rocket III set a world recond at El Mirage last weekend at 151mph, and they are not done!"

I've often wondered if there is room in the transmission to slip in a 6th gear, an over drive of sorts. The Rocket has more than enough torque to pull it with the right gearing, top speed would be increased immensely!

It sounds like they maybe haven't hit the rev-limit yet so another gear might not be necessary?
