Whos has recently installed a wireless system. I would like to know what you installed and the degree of difficulty. I am interested in small & wireless units. They should have a blue tooth or phone capability.
I don't want to clutter the bars with a stereo console size unit. I am thinking along the same line as the dakota gauges multiple uses in one.
If you could let me know how the wireless intercom works, phone, radio or cb work when hooked in I would appreciate it. :yayyy: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: 15

Hi Lee,

Nolan helmets have a new blue tooth system, as do BMW helmets. Check out the following link http://www.aussiebiker.com.au/html/nolan-helmets.html

I've been using a Scala rider since April, with a Garmin 2820 and a Treo 650.

Of these, the Scala Rider is the coolest. It's a great gadget, easy to fit, never seems to run out of charge, and generally holds onto its Bluetooth connections like a Rottweiler.

I don't use the phone while I'm going along - it's (really) beyond my risk tolerance - but you can see who's calling by looking at the Garmin. It's really great for turn-by-turn navigation though - the Scala works great, even inside my full face Arai.

Nope. They're not paying me. I love it - it's really cheap, and it really works well. *BUT* I haven't figured out how to make the Garmin do wireless Intercom. It'll do phone, nav, books on tape, mp3 (NOT XM via the bluetooth strangely).... but no earth to she-who-must-be-obeyed.

thank you. I appreciate you both taking the time to respond. I see I am not the only one looking for the technology and not cluttering up the bars. :hammer: 8
