I have a very irritating vibration in the bars at 4k in all gears. I have @1100 miles on the bike and did not really notice it until I started pushing a little harder. Also, I did just add Rivco risers and windscreen (roadster). This vib causes numbness over time.
Is this vib "nature of the beast" or could it be caused by the risers or screen.
Side note: I have the rattle sound up front and gear whine in all gears the dealers said was typical when compared to their demo.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Scott

4K must be 90+ mph. How long do you stay there? It shouldn't be the screen, which is secured to the forks. It's easy enough to take it off - 4 bolts.

If it was happening before the risers, don't bother taking them off.

Assume that the front tire is properly inflated, without road damage etc - you should consider reinstalling the new screen and handle bat riser. This bike is rock solid and smooth at any speed. Adjust, align and tighten until you find the reason.

Mine (with 3000+ miles) vibrates uncomfortably at 3K rpm, in all gears. When I commented to the guys during the Sedalia ride, they stated I should take it in to have it checked out. I have the Roadster Screen & the Rivco Risers but the vibration was there before I put them on. Not certain what can be done to remedy this vibration, maybe a different tune.

Anyway, I plan on calling to get an appointment, but not until the down season. I still have several opportunities to request clearance for "launch" so I'm not giving the ship up til winter sets in.

Let me know if you find out anything Amboguzzi.

I tested it and 4000 rpm is 95 mph. There's a pretty high frequency vibration which could get annoying but I don't think it's unusual. There's no way I would drive this fast for more than a few seconds anyway.

Could the vibration be related to the front tire Balance? Perhaps you jarred it so it is out just ever so slightly. The increased speed might magnify the vibrations, with the increased revolutions. I do not have the vibration with my R3 and it is hitting 3000 miles. If you find out what it is let me know. I am interested in what the casue is. Lee

Thanks for all of the responses.
I did not notice my mistake in the original post. It should have read 3k and not 4k. I do spend some time on highways and at 3k it puts me @80 mph and I do experience a bothersome vibration. I hadn't planned on taking my bike back to dealer this year but I will to have them check the wheel balance.
I do have to say that the risers were well worth the investment and the roadster screen is probably 2" shy in height from being perfect. It will work for now.
Thanks again
Scott

Mine *feels* rough around 3,000 rpm when I've flicked the throttle open and it's pulling like a train, but it isn't *vibration* - just naked power!

Also, it growls and grumbles at 3,000 rpm when I'm on low throttle in town. I think it's just a resonance in the pipes (original, but only two still attached).

Consider a company named Clearview for a replacement screen. I replaced my stock screen with the 5 inch taller model. You can certainly get the extra 2 inches you mention and it will make a big improvement.

Best wishes on finding the cause of the bad vibs.

Could be harmonics. I have the vibe til I pull over 100mph.
