Anyone came up against a M109? I'm really curious if anyone has had the pleasure of racing one. Any ideas on how fast it is.......say 0-60 stock?

Had an extensive test ride on the m109 and the Rocket has it over the suzuki in all areas from a standing start and even cornering clearance. You just can't beat 147lbs of torque. The suzuki feels like it has better aerodynamics and may wind out to a higher top speed on a very very long road.

Bingo! The reason most of us have and like the Rocket. Sport bikes are typically faster, and the 109 likely gets close to the Rocket, but its that torque that is the real pleaser.

I sat on a 109 and liked it, and my hat is off the suzie for building it, but I would not choose one over another Rocket, even as a second bike.

It's a Suzuki. S-u-z-u-k-i.

I guess I'm a Suzuki-phobe when it comes to cruisers.

Be safe.

Anyone ever danced with a VTX 1800? I buddy has one a little modified, and gave the R3 credit but didn't think it was more thanhis VTX. Just curious.

The 109 will spank the VTX 1800. VTX has around 100 hp

the rocket has power to weight ratio so the 109 shouldn't be too hard to beat given same rider/riding skill.

I rode a 109 today while my R3 was in for the break in service. The shop owner told a friend and I to help ourselves to some bikes from the demo fleet so we took a 109 and a Victory Vegas out for a spin (then came back and did the same with about half of the other demos).

The 109 pulled nicely down low but seemed to have quite a bit less usable power than the Rocket through the whole range. We didn't flog the demo too hard but we both left with the impression that Rocket captains won't have a lot of trouble staying in from of 109s.

Both my friend and I noticed a fairly pronounced vibration in top gear at highway speeds (~75-ish) that would drive both of us absolutely nuts on anything but short trips. Neither of us own nor have we owned big twins, I tend to chalk it up to that but my friend thought it might be more a characteristic of the 109.

I wanted to like the 109 but after a few miles on one I wouldn't own it. I would, however, own a Vegas. It was slower but had waaaay better road manners than the 109.
