Just got the bike, was riding back from lunch today trying to reset the trip counter. Finally got it back on odometer.

How do i work the darn thing. It only turns counter clockwise, do i hold it or press it in or pull it out.

You hold it, then press it in, then pull it back out... :-D

Regarding the trip counter, to set it to 0 just turn and hold it a couple of seconds.

Hmmmm. This is how mine works. Each time your turn it counterclockwise, it advances between 1st trip, 2nd trip, and total odometer. Hold it all the way counterclockwise on the trip and it zeros.

dunringil,

I had the same problem.
There is a tiny screw on the end of the knob.
That screw may need to be adjusted.

If I remember right, the knob turns clockwise.
When you are sitting on the bike, the knob rolls from front to back (toward the rider). Wouldn't that be clockwise?

When I had my issue with the trip, it too would only turn counter-clockwise.
I loosened the screw then tightend it and the knob then turned from front to back and cycled through the two trips and odometer.

Hope this helps.

dunringil,

I misspoke.
The trip does turn counter-clockwise.
Loosen the screw on the end of the knob and carefully turn it toward the front of the bike.
The trip will cycle for you.
Then tighten the screw.

You guys are terrible. Wasn't hard for this gal to work. Just turn and hold until it resets. See blondes are smarter than you think. :lollol:

You got that right. We put our chaps on backwards half the time.

You mean there is a front and a back on chaps?
Does the buckle go in the front or back?
I'm so confused!
