Took a trip to GA and picked up my bike, Rode it back to NC. Got lucky, didnt rain on me at all even though it looked like it.

So far so good. The trubo rocket is in my garage. I've been telling myself to take it easy, until I get use to the bike. It's a big change from my 900 adventurer. I kept it under 120 mph, so I did pretty good. Actually I only got over 100 once.

I've never ridden a standard rocket so I dont have anything to base it on, but I can say, it is very impressive. You can definitely hear me coming when the boost is on. It comes in around 2500 rpm.

ONe question, It came with a certificate of authenticity. States:
This certifies that 2008 recoket III vin..... Is one of a first edition of 200 rocket III's sold in the united states. 1/200

Does this mean it is #1 of 200 or just one of 200.

Good news and bad news. You have the very first one that arrived in the States. Bad news is that the first 10 of them had faulty motors and eventually blew up. Yours can't be far off! :-D :hammer: :-D Don't worry 'bout me... I'm just jealous, (that you got a bike with a turbo... don't give a hoot about the badge) Davo

Hmmm...could you clarify what year model it actually is?

The 2008 is clearly a typo since they don't exist yet, but in your sidebar info you list 2005 Rocket. The first Rockets sold in the US would have been 2004 models :???:

Oh, sorry, the certificate says 2005. Not 2008.

In art (numbered prints), when you see 1/200, it means it is #1. Just wondering how they did it.
THey would list them sequentially 2/200 3/200 etc...

Not that it matters that much, just curious.

Congrats!

A question. I saw a 2005 Tribal Red Rocket with Turbo in PA. I thought the turbo wasn't a factory option. Did I miss something? Is Triumph now offering a turbo as a factory option?

Considering their factory tunes limit the power of the stock engine, it is unlikely they would offer a 300 hp option.

Thanks for confirming the turbo as not a factory option. I was trying to help him figure out the 1 of 200 question, to see if it applied to the turbo.

The bike is titled as a 2005, but I found a couple earlier dates on the bike. The vin sticker has 05/04 and just under the headlight on the steering it has FEB 04

Does anyone else out there have one of these certificates?

Yes, I also have a First 200 Certificate. Took delivery of mine on July 9, 2004. The certificate is to indicate it was one of the first 200 sold in the U.S.
