I took my Rocket into my dealer for a oil leak last week, thinking the transmission output shaft seal was leaking.
Ended up being the final drive. Oil was seeping into the driveshaft tube and would work it's way forward and leak out the boot.
They told me it was a factory recall and I should have gotten a letter from Triumph but didn't....Luckily I discovered the problem prior to a real major problem.

Link to recall.....

Did you buy your Rocket new? The recall letters went out nearly a year ago if I "recall" right. We do appreciate you posting about your experience but the recall is not news. Most of us got letters a long time ago.

Got mine done early last spring at Baxter Cycle. It was just fine, no leakage. Don said out of the dozen or so he'd replaced on recall only one showed any signs of leakage at all. Apparently yours is one that actually had the problem (out of a specific range of vin#'s recalled).

Good thing you found out about it--worst case situation it could cause rear wheel seizure.

Yep, bought it brand new last November. I just thought I'd pass it along, guess I was the only one that didn't get a recall letter.
I guess I was behind on this one. Sorry I posted it...
