Sorry to hear of the death of Steve Irwin, at least he died doing what he loved.

Deeply saddened by his death, but not surprised.

A freaky deal to be sure, most survive those stings they say. He was one of a kind and very popular, he will be missed.

Not to the heart Tommo! The poison in those tails hurts like hell... A shot like that so close or in the heart will stop it dead! He was the real deal... A great Aussie... A great mentor to kids and adults alike.

I will miss him, I watch his stuff all the time. I read that stings to the core of the body usually do not fare well without immediate surgical attention. I am amazed he actually was conscious long enough to pull the barb out. What an amazing guy. I believe there are too few of his type of person left in the world, and while I wish he was still here, and I believe he was robbed his life by that Stingray, I say what a way to go, he got to go doing what he loved, he was not making a living sitting in a cubical somewhere, dying of a massive heart attack brought on by too many fast food encounters and high stress work. Thanks for the work you did while here on earth Stevo...you will be missed.
