Women and bikes?

Doubling on the back…..what is it with women? would you continously put your life in the hands of someone else…..to sit on the back?....why do they do this….most have no want to get a bike of their own….i say most not all….

Men as a rule don’t get on the back of another guys bike…..so therefore

Could it be that they just want to keep their eye on their male partner?.... Ensure that he doenst play up, as they say.

   I know plenty of women riders T. But I see what you are saying. In my club there are three types of wife. Those that ride (Often better than their husbands)... Those that pillion (They also love the ride, the freedom and the social aspect)... and those who won't get on the bike (They often have other interests and just love it when hubby takes off for the day or week!) My missus will ride two-up occasionally but would rather stay home and Scrapbook. She has no interest in getting her licence.

I can see the benefits of both. I enjoyed riding on the back because of being in the wind like someone said. But I could look around lots and see more. Also, liked being up close so I could touchy feely my honey bear :-D

However, he always told me that if we went down I was supposed to try to jump off the bike ASAP. Cause he wouldn't turn loose of it until he knew I was off. I had trouble visioning that. When you have got a tall guy in front and a tall back rest behind you and saddle bags on either side, I just didn't see how I could get myself off that easily unless I was thrown.

And as far as riding my own....well I LOVE IT  :-D . I do miss being close and touchy feely and the freedom and looking all around and not having to watch the road for what ever might cause problems. But the added freedom and the pride of owning and riding such a beautiful attention getting bike overrides everything else.
