The Red Mist?

What is it?

Your riding along with a bunch of guys…..you come up to bunch of twistys….you enter the valley, speeds climb you go harder, faster, pegs scraping, overtaking on double yellow lines around the outside of corners…..the pace increases, you try to stay up, risks are taken, braking harder then you usually do, misjudging corners, going wide, full throttle up the straights to stay up with the front runners……cops?....who cares stay on it, we are safe in a group….aint we?....but on you press…..back out of the valley you come….the pace is harder now….up to 160…180 on the straights…..the pack is on it….on and on…..eventually the leader slows….down you come…60ks…through a town……time for a break…..you stop for fuel….your system is pumped….heart racing….slowly you come back down….phew..i survived that….

The next day you go out for a ride…..you stick by the speed limit….don't take to many risks….all is back to normal…..

So what happened the day before? What is the phenomena, some call it the red mist….why do we take these chances and do this?

Teabag, If you'll pardon me saying but it sounds like you have just described the Saturday arvo ride at the Port rat raid last weekend down to a "T". Had a good old 'ding dong' with the likes of Welshrob on his silver Sprint and 'old mate' on his painted up 1050 Speed Triple. Due to explicit instructions via the passenger intercom, I had to let these crazed madmen go but not before I had left small rocks rattling around inside both of the Speed Triple's headlights.

Ouch, have you priced Speed Triple headlights recently... not cheap! Davo

You should put little symbols on your R3 Davo!! Like the fighter planes in WWII when they shot down one of the enemy... Like how many headlights you have trashed with your R3 beating off the Speed triples and the daytona's behind you!

ICE... Yeah baby!!! We saw you get the fever!!!! Even when you play at being so cool and collected.
