Just had 1st service and it came to $339.98. Normal Trumpy 1st service is about $200.00 but the Rocket takes 5 litres of fully synthetic oil. This is $113.60 on it's own. Thats where the high cost comes in.

Keep in mind Aussie dollars differ substantially from US dollars.

However, I didn't know Triumph dealers had the kind of service plans that include full maintenance.

Some H-D $tealers offer them but they're obscenely expensive.

Nearly $23 a quart? That sounds a bit steep even in Aussie dollars. Some dealers here will let you BYOO and save $$.

Now that it's out of warranty I'll be using M1 Goldcap-nee-Redcap which has served countless Hinckley owners well for millions of miles, ~$5 at Wally World.

Hi Shiver,

Without looking at receipts I am sure the that service only part of my bill is less then yours.

Also the service is only required at every 16,000 klms, not 10,000.

my dealer offered me a pre- paid maintenance plan, 299.00$
your right its not cheap, but I asked around before buying the bike, and decided that basically it was what it states, pre-paid service charges. it gives me and I state this right from the contract, 2 scheduled services over the next 1 year ( 600, 3000 miles)
priority service in our service department
guaranteed next day turn around time on all scheduled services
service loaner upon request, at time of appointment. and yes that means loaner rockets, that is what sold me, I took mine in for the 500 mile service no charge to me, the same way when I take it in for the 3000 mile service. I bought the second year also, and yes, 299.00$, your right! not cheap, but at least I'm riding a rocket while I wait.

My bill was also discounted

1st service AU$300 ish , recommended frequency from dealer every 10000 km's.
I intend to have oil and filter done every 5000 kms, dealer quoted AU$120 to do that.
