This is an old article in Cigar Afficianado....whoda thunk a cigar mag would have a Rocket article? Anyway, its a pretty good description of the Rocket I think, though short....

Both were introduced in 2004. Don't know which got an actual production unit delivered first. Kaw did have VN2000's in the US before the Rocket got here, but Triumph made a limited intro of the Rocket in some other countries well before that.
