Adding all this extra air, what do you do about the tune? Assuming you have a PCIII or Tuneboy.

With a K&N under the seat and these 3 filters, do you need to dyno it again?

Hi Dougl,

With the 3 foam filters in place you wouldn't need the k&n underseat filter. The grey plastic pipes off the carb intake mouths would be discnnected and removed anyway so no air will be coming via the underseat airbox.

I'm running 3 K&Ns and will be getting my bearclaw cut down to fit as I love the look and they work really well. From a distance people tell me my bike sounds like a ww2 mustang fighter!

It would help if I knew what the f was going on with my bike. I had the bearclaw off once but didn't look at the throttle bodies. Maybe I saw the plastic stuff and assumed there was a filter under it.

Same question though. If 3 filters on the throttle bodies pass more air than the one under the seat, it will run leaner unless you re-tune it.

I'm running SteveRed's tune (20050StaintuneTune.dat). Would that still work with 3 separate intake filters?

Sounds good. I'm a bit put off by securing them with zip ties. I assume there are the plastic jobbies that cinch up that we call cable ties? Are these secure enough? What about hose clamps?

Can someone take a picture of what they look like mounted on the throttle bodies?

Looks good. Do you "oil" them? If so, how, and with what?
