has any one come across this yet ... have an 04 rocket and was cleaning it the other day and have noticed small like grainy bits in the paint work around the tank badges on both sides , i havnt noticed them before so took it to my dealer , who took some photoes and put in for a new tank no quibbles, is it a one off or are there others ??

No such defect on mine when it still had its original cardinal red paint. Nothing I remember reading here from fellow forum members either. Lacquer peeling off the wheels is the only finish-related issue that comes back to my mind.

Isn' t there solace to be found in the "no quibbling" settlement you describe, though?

sure is jamie , so far my dealer has replaced my front wheel , sender unit , and a speedo ive had a fantastic service

hi scardi,
my 2006 rocket was handed over with a paint defect.when i pointed this out,the dealer took a photo and then did nothing.after 6 weeks,maybe its time too ask the verdict.
i did manage to get them to fix the faulty gear selection.they did suggest i would have to wait 2 weeks until they have time.that would mean 2 weeks off road.this on a 4 week old bike.turned out that the gear lever was fitted wrong at the factory.it is now leaking oil.

Hi Scardi.
can you tell me what was wrong with your front wheel,I am trying to get a new one as the clear coating is coming off .
