Here's my experience with these. I bought the 6240s which are the ISO 5 3/4" universals for the 1" bars.
The look and feel great! The clutch side is a piece of cake. Simply use a razor blade and cut the rubber grip off. Then use a smiggin of the glue provided (beeeeeeeeecareful with this stuff) and slide on the grip. Make sure to clean the chrome surface with alcohol or brake cleaner first. Goes on in a minute!
The throttle side is a *****! No glue needed here. First, same removal procedure for the rubber with the razor blade. You WILL have to slice all the plastic nubs off the throttle sleeve with a razor blade and smooth with sand paper. Then, I had to cut the sleeve extention to go into the bottom of the grip then lube the throttle sleeve up and coerce the grip on with a rubber mallet. Worked perfectly and no way it will move (or come off!).
I had a friend attempt this by applying the glue and really messed things up. YOu don't need it here! Don't go there.
Hope this helps.
