ROT Rally

Holy smokes! My ears are still ringing from the thunder (?) of over 30000 motorcycles that came to Austin, TX to take part in the Republic of Texas Biker Rally. Of course, an overwhelming number of HD's were there. But those bikes didn't get anywhere near the attention that my R3 received. I oughta get a referral fee for the number of folks that I sent to the local Triumph dealer.

It was a good time, good riding, good music (Joan Jett is incredible!), and good people. Some wore clothes. Some that didn't should have.

Sorry I missed meeting any other Rocket Captains that may have come in. Next year, we'll hook up and start our own lil parade.

But I've seen yer pics... so keep your clothes on. :-D

Went to ROT in '03 while I was in Austin area on Army Reserve duty. . .awesome rally. Understand your comments re: clothes, etc. Some memorable sights. . .some of which I still wish were forgetable. ..

the ride from the Travis County fairgrounds into Austin was incredible.

I sure wanted to go this year, but just couldn't make it.. Sounds like it was a blast! So close.. yet so far away.. lol. I am riding to Sturgis in August though..

Also had a good time, some nice bikes. my kids big wheel was never like this.
