I think this is better in black!! Might use clear plastic with paint touch ups so the carbs could shine through.

Hey Rockin-R, any tuning changes needed due to the change in air cleaner surface area alteration? If so, how would you know what steps (choices) to take?

Rob,

can you do me a big favour and post the details of that rear tyre... size, make & cost?

Manager in my local tyre depot said they can't even get a car tyre that wide here in the UK!

Ordered a new Metz at £150 [$282] which takes the fun out of cranking that throttle.

Like the seat can you put some more pics of it also? Great job on the mods!

Rusty,
I was running a "Large" UNI filter under the gas tank so the air volume was pretty much the same. The delivery of that air is better with the carbs and more HP as a result. The engine check light will come on if going from stock to this mod. The bike will run rough at first: run it a short distance than shut it down and start it up again. The engine check light will go out. You may have to do the shut/start more than once. The bike will run normal after that. You don't need a PC111 for this mod. I likes a little rough at the lights so my red sled is set at 350/400 rpm. A PC111 or tuneboy will fine tune if that is where you want to go.

RocketSteve,
Tire is Hankook H405 Ventus HR11 245/50/16 This is a car tire and will take an adjustment on your part for the first 500 miles or so. It will ride better after you take the sharp edges off. Cost: On the net: $63.51us I paid $79.00 at Pepboys here in Florida. Good for 35000 miles or better.

Many thanks Rockenrobert, I'll see if we can get some here in Olde England...

Got to agree, the claw HAS to be modified - mine doesn't even fit on the tank properly!

I use "Dupli-Color" Bumper Coating to paint claw black.
