My Rocket really vibrates when I give 'er the juice, through the entire machine. Maybe that's the nature of the 140 hp "getting with it". Any comments about other units reaction to aggressive acceleration? Not knockin' it (what a rush), just want to know if it's the norm.

I notice the vibration around the century mark and by the time it hits 120 or so the speedo is almost impossible to read but at that speed its better to direct all your attention to the road.

Ride and Stay Safe.

I don't ever get enough vib. to make tach or speedo hard to read, or even make them move at all.

All engines have a sweet spot for vibration. In my opinion you "hear" a vibration more than feel it...At least on my bike anyway.

I just ease into the throttle a bit more and everything gets hard to hold on to.

The possible culprits for hard to read speedo at speed are:
1. front wheel out of balance noticeable only at high speed.
2. dirty air causing helmet turbulance resulting in blurred vision.
3. the effects of long sightedness due to:
a. old age and b. having your nose too close to the speedo whilst in the "racing crouch".
4. all of the above!

What????

My bike likes to pulsate more at low RPM's when I wack open the throttle... but mine's modified a little :-D . I haven't felt any vibes anywhere that really bother me alot.

You got any good roads up there? We have a few of us here in KC that like to get out and try new stuff... Kansas is just so flat :-D

Tomo

Hey Toystoretom, St. Joseph has (what I hear tell) one of the longest boulevard systems in the country. I took off for lunch yesterday & took a ride along part of it. Lots of "low speed" curves. Speed limit is only 25 mph but if no one is lookin', have some fun. I'll be glad to take you on a tour someday, along with Pig9r.
PS, these Rockets are some comfortable in the curves, I've put the "nipples" of the foot pegs (both left & right) on the pavement during one of those rides. Really hugs the road & feels good.

Could be just harmonics, bro. I get a fuzzy feelin' in the nads around 82mph. But it goes away around 85. Check air in the tires for the right pressure.

Be safe.
Mike

Hey MikeRokkit, I get that fuzzy feeling each time I approach the Rocket & put on my space helmet. N*ds and all get excited cause I know what's coming. Just can't get enough.
