Has anyone found the secret to keeping the silly rubber trim that goes down the upper edge of the chrome tappered pieces of the rear fender sides? I kinda gave up for the time being. More of a headache & does not really take much away from the Rocket without them there. Rubber to metal adhesives aren't something that last very long, if at all.

Let me know guys.

Mine is just held on by the tightness of the bolts that hold the struts on. In other words they are just sandwiched in there. You could put RTV on the edge and this would probably hold it.

Mine is held securely in the plastic bag inside the cardboard box up on the top self in the workshop along with the rubber windscreen edging. Not once has the rubber worked off at the end and flapped in the wind. It works real well :-D Davo

Just as I suspected Davo. Thanks! I'm not certain mine will get that good of treatment.
