EBC BRAKE PADS

Anyone tried the EBC "HH" Sintered brake pads ? I just put a set on the rear & they seem to get awfully hot (rotor & caliper) although I don't know how hot the original ones got (I never felt them). I'm thinking about going back to the originals (from Triumph),I notice they(the originals) have more "grooves" and I'm thinking they may disipate the heat better ...I did read if you use the EBC pads that they are harder on the rotor ......any feedbck or suggestions ????????

I went with regular EBC brake pads. I just don't want to eat up the rotor with the HH pads. Here is what I got...

Front: FA236
Rear: FA209

Well I tried the EBC standard pads and they lasted less than a month. So I am just now trying the HH version. And yeh it takes a lot of heat to get my led sled slowed from them thripple numbers on that ass pucker dial.

Just installed the HH's and took a quick 5 mile ride. "wow" are they sweet - nice stopping power - especially at the front!

Looks like a lot of us are in the "replacement" phase of owning the first batch of these things. Just ordered some EBC rears (regular). I noticed that they weren't really THAT much less than the price of Triumph ones from Hermy's. Will be curious 2 c how they hold up. Certainly DON'T want to screw up the rotor! Everything else still "original". @ 6300 mi. Still "some" life in the old pads. Ride On!

Replaced my fronts with the HH at 7000 miles , and they feel great , better than the standards wet or dry , seem to fade less also on hard runs .

Thanx all for the info on brake pads. My front pads are getting very close to replacement and back still has a little over a quarter left but will replace when I do the fronts. Both front and rear rotors are in perfect shape. On a scale of 1-10 I am probably a 7 aggressive rider. Like the twisties and will bust 120 mph at least once a ride. I am going to try the HH's for improved stopping power. I hope they perform as well as the OEMs in light of the fact that at 22,000+ plus miles the pads on my bike now are the originals.
