Can anyone tell me to a certainty that the floorboards on the Classic are the same 'boards and mount in the same position as the 'boards Triumph has been offering as a Rocket accessory?
Thanks.

My size 15 fits a lot easier on the Classic boards than the standard Tri boards. Had my dealer check to see if Classic boards could be put on regular Rockets. It can be done, but your dealer will have to order or put together a special kit. The whole thing was going to cost me $1,400, which included the Classic boards and the "kit." Don't know if that included installation and don't care - too much money for that mod, so went ahead and put on a bunch of chrome.

Yeah, I knew it couldn't just be simple...

I wear a 15 too, and the showroom feel of the Classic almost had me tempted to go floorboards instead of rear sets.
I've got to go one way or the other with the pegs, stock just doesn't work for me.

Are you saying that the boards they put on my classic are different than the boards they offered for the Rocket III standards last year? You could always get the Rivcos. They look nice.

hlw3, they are different, and my foot will testify to that fact. LoL The Rivcos are certainly an option. I've never put my 15 on a Rivco, but I've heard good things about them.

Yes the boards are different in that there is less slope on the Classic boards compared to the orginal optional boards for the R3.

The thing about the Rivco's is that they don't have a heel-toe shifter set up as standard (though I have heard that there is a rivco heel shifter on offer?? Davo??) which is good if you have BIG feet as the boards work well. Though you still have to get your toe in under the shifter to gear up, so if your boots are heavy, you may have trouble shifting. I adjusted my shifter to the max setting to be able to shift comfortably.

Yes there is a heel and toe shifter on offer from Rivco in their latest additions to their range of excellent products. Havn't yet seen one so can't comment on how it works but personally, me, myself and I prefer the toe shifter!

Steve, do you ride your bike with your thick ole mountaineering boots or sommit?! I had to adjust my toe shifter up as well to accommodate me 'arley boots, but not all the way tho! Davo

So the boards are the same (length, etc.) just the mounting gives a different angle?
