a very comfortable bar that comes back just about right is the bars that come on the HD Full Dressers, not the Road King bar that bar is very low and wide..
The ape hanger bars do put your hands at a wierd angle and i personnally dont like them. But some do.

I thought the bars on my bike were HD Road King Classic.

Just about any 1" handle bar will go on a Rocket. I thought that Harley was 1 1/4" but that might fit too.

People here are talking about low, wide 1 1/4" Road King bars.

They may be thinking about the Road King CUSTOM's beach bar. It's a poser version of the Road King for those whose "touring" ends at the first tavern--the thing doesn't even come with a windshield!

The more touring-oriented standard and Classic versions both come with a moderate "buffalo" bar as HD calls it that is not real low or wide as touring bars go, and is definitely conventional 1" diam. I'd call it a "vanilla bar," fairly comfortable to most riders. However I still decided to replace mine with a slightly taller version of same thing.

They're Kuryakyn iso grips.

I saw a new Rocket Classic today at my dealers today and the bars looked just like the ones on my bike. Maybe a tad further forward.
