Mate, did a 1200klm ride with a couple harley,s,a ducati and a bandit last chistmas from Canberra back to Coff,s Harbour via out west sitting on pretty wild speed,s(except the harley,s) and at every stop i used about 2lt,s less then all. BLew me out considering me moter was twice there size. And as for perfomance the ducati was quicker over 160kph, and the rocket was dead even with the bandit (1200) from 160 to cut out. Blew them out of the water up to 160 but. Have done the 3 k&n and pc111 trick since, it is fu@@ing scarey now, but loving it. Take,s off like a CR500 on juice !! I have finally found a bike to respect on certain road,s. :-g

My all time best was 41 mpg, but that was all interstate cruising. I usually pull down 35-38 going back and forth to work.

I got just under 45 mpg a couple of times when loping along
at 65 mph on 2 lane highways all day. At 75-80 mph mileage
is usually 35-38 .

I did an Iron Butt ride "Saddle Sore 100" from Arizona to Texas and got 28.8mph there and 33.8 mpg on the way back. Euroshop of Waco did a 10,000 mile service while I was there and adjusted 6 valves. I have 12,000 miles plus on my 2005 R3. Just burned through a second rear tire and about to put on a third rear and second front.
