I am running the Jardines with a PCIII and what a difference... I feel like the beast has risen. I was at a bike show (typical HD crowd) and I fired up the triple bad boy and I swear it stopped everyone within a 50' radius in their tracks despite all of the v-twins knocking about.

Anyway, here is my question: after putting the Jardines on I have noticed that I can smell more exhaust than before and also that when I get off the bike I smell like exhaust considerably more than
I did with the stock pipes. Is this because of the cat delete or does it sound like something somewhere is leaking?

Over a year ago, we had a number of exchanges on this forum about the smell you describe. We could not figure it out. So we merrily archived the issue as Sardines stench. :-D

My Jardines have the same smell. I worte it off to the much increased air flow though the bike now.

I don't have the Sardines... but I read somewhere that the header pipes themselves have a ceramic coating. I have seen other pipes that have that and it is applied like a paint, and it takes quite a few hot/cold cycles to cure. Could it be that??

I don't thinks so Tom. It actually smells like semi unburned fuel. My concern is the bike is running way to rich and it is unburned gas being pushed through the system.
