I just ordered the Jardine exhaust system and was going to have my dealer install it. Do I have to buy a Power Commander or should the dealer be able to remap the stock ECU to work with the Jardine pipes? Cheers!

There is a 20054 map for tors or other aftermarket pipes. Personally I think that this tune is a joke as it gives a bit more power back in the first two geaqrs but limits or restricts the middle gears. A better way to get the ultimate tune for your bike would be the 'Tuneboy' rather than the PCIII as the Tuneboy leaves the O2 sensor in play and virtually offers a substitute more advanced tune for the ECM rather than effect the map/tune after the ECM has done it's job.

My two cents..

3xdope,

You will want the PC III and I have one for sale with a map for Jardine pipes already on it. I started with the map from Jardine and then did a DynoJet map with the PC III installed. Runs great but have decided to sell and move on.

Let me know if you would like it at a reduced price. Spent 300.00 for the PC III and 200.00 for the custom map.

Do you have the power curves from your dyno tune? What did you get for HP and torque? Did it eliminate the backfiring? Did it run smooth? How about gas mileage?

Are you moving on to another bike? If so, what?

When they did the dyno tuning, did they do each cell separately or do a programmed tune?

What does your dealer think? My dealer has put several Jardine exhausts on Rockets. While he is a DynoJet center, he hasn't put a PCIII on any of them and he thinks they work fine.

dougl,

My final power out put was 159 HP with matching torque. I changed out the exhaust and put the PCIII on myself and then had the dyno done by a professional.

Yes the bike gets up and goes.

What kind of shop did the dyno tune? Motorcycle dealer? Did they do a manual tune, cell by cell, or use Tuning Link to do a programmed tune?
