I brought rocket in for 10,000 mile/ 1yr service. Bike was running absolutely perfectly - flawlessly. Picked up bike and it accelerates erratically from time to time, like slight bucking. Also idles low. Now it's also dropping down so low it is stalling. Brought it back 2xs now and dealer says bike has no problems. They said they installed a new mapping code received from Triumph. Bike is bone stock (except for K & N air filter). Today it began stalling alot. Can anyone tell me what correct code should be so I can verify dealer is using correct code?

Thanks for any help. :???:

These are the latest tune numbers for the Rocket 3

20050 Standard silencers with cat
20051 French 78.1KW version
20052 German 72.1KW version
20053 Aftermarket silencers with cat
20054 Aftermarket silencers with cat box removed
20055 Standard silencers without cat
20056 Aftermarket silencers without cat

The one you need is 20050
There is no way your bike should run like that after a service take it back to the dealer Is there another dealer close by you could take it? You get the dealer to try one of the other tunes it will not damage the bike just to see how it runs on that .They might have a bad tune it does happen when they download them Worth a try
Good Luck

Thanks for quick reply Tacker. Next closest dealer is 3 hrs away. First, I'll check and see if I have 20050.

Clearly they flubbed the new FI tune upload or loaded the wrong one into your bike. I think if you have gone back twice now it will be worth your 3 hour trip to see another dealer. It sucks when someone messes up a perfectly running bike!

Funny thing is that I never ever do these routine scheduled services on my cars. I just pay for oil changes and have mechanic friend of mine check fluids . . . I should have left well enough alone (other than having both tires changed as well).

If you got 10,000 miles out the rear tire there should be no
need to change the front one yet.

Also check the electrical connections, during the service a wire or two might not exactly be connected as snug as it is suppose to be. I had an over heating situation because the wire into the fan wasn't reconnected. Good luck.

MY DEALER DID EXACTLY THAT!! They installed the 20054 tune on my bike without telling me and that is exactly how the bike started to react! tell them you want the original 20050 tune on the bike or you will sue them for changing the damned thing without informing you or asking you first!!

THE ONE YOU NEED IS THE 20050 TUNE!!

I only found out when I put the bike on the dyno when I installed Tuneboy and saw that the tune had been changed! Makes me so angry when they THINK they are doing the right thing and all they are doing is stuffing you around!! Then they don't want to take responsibility!

Hello gang. Update. Good news is that when I brought bke in this morning it lumbered for about 15 seconds then stalled - in their presence. So they no longer deny there is a problem. Bad news is that he checked the mapping and it is 20050 - the most recent one. More bad news is that still no error code showing up. So I left bike there and am waiting to hear from them.

Apparently, 20050 map is for stock bike with catalytic converter, it is not the code for stock bike w/o (which is how they are sold here in Florida. That aside, my bike wouldn't hold correct map, so they swapped my computer for a new one. I have to put about an hour of test miles on it.
