Hi all

I have been lurking in the corridors of this forum for a few months now. I didn't want to join until I was an official rocketeer.
Well its official. I just ordered a Black 06 Rocket yesterday after many months of drooling over the photos of members bikes. I sold my last bike (Moto Guzzi Sport 1100) 2 years ago to make way for wifes car. The last two years has been killing me.
I want to thank all on this forum for the information and tips I have gathered over the past months. Even though you didn't know I was there you helped make my decisions easier.
I spoke to Aussie Biker Dave yesterday and ordered a set of doggies. Hopefully by the time I return from holidays to Tassie the bike will be in Alice sounding sweet.

Yeehaah

Regards Bart

Congrats Bart.

You know Bart, I sensed a wrinkle in the Force and until now I didn't know why. Thanks for coming out as this will improve my REM sleep. Please Bart, remain silent no more. :-D

Where will you park the Rocket since wifey's car is taking up sold Moto Guzzi's space?

Closest dealer is about five Ks from my place.
Desert Edge Motorcycles.
They are the dealer for Triumph, Harley and Honda.

Welcome to the club Bart. May your new Rocket rattle every snake in them thar MacDonnell Ranges!

BTW, Your pipes were shipped out today (Monday). davo

PS For those that never bothered to listen up when their geography teacher opened up the big atlas for down under, Alice Springs (pop about 30,000) is about as remote a place as is possible to live. Easily 1000 miles from the next major towns (Darwin or Adelaide) this place lends new meaning to the word "remote". The farms (ranches) around these parts are not measured in acres but square miles and the farmers use choppers to muster rather than the ubiquitous Honda XR400. Yet The Alice possesses a special beauty that can only be told through the lens of a camera. I have only been there twice in my life but each time felt the special bond with the land that is 'part and parcel' of the Aboriginal culture.

Thanks for the welcome all.

I am planning to rattle all the snakes in the Macs and outrun the flys.

I reckon I won't have to much trouble with either.

Regards

Bart
