I dont know if anyone has box problems but mine nearly always crunches from first to second wen its up in the rev range, seems to be fine wen the oils cold.
I adjusted the clutch at the lever only 1 or 2 turns and it then started slipping in 3rd under power so i wound it back.
Any replies or opinions appreciated.

Mine has done it from day one, and that was 11'000 miles ago. Nothing to worry about

Mosey: If the box pops out of 2nd gear, as opposed to just producing unpleasant sounds, then, yes, alas, you have a problem. On mine, the shifting mechanism broke down at exactly 5000 miles. Altough a relatively minor mechanical failure affecting ONLY second gear engagement, it involved a major amount of tranny dismantling. I remember 2 or 3 similar incidents being reported on this forum and elsewhere over the last 12-18 months.

Only advice if what I am describing here unfortunately reads symptomatic to you, is to take the bike to your dealer!

Best wishes. Jamie

It helps to preload the shift lever.
