See, this IS a rocket topic!!! That's right folks, impatient me could not wait to read the whole 33 pages of Motorcycle Onlines 600 class comparison so dam it, I scrolled down to the bottom line to get the gen.

This should come as no surprise to the true believers (us) but here is a sample of the comment from "what we'd buy" panel from the various testers.

"Although I'm not interested in a middleweight street bike, if I were gonna lay down my not-so-hard-earned money on a new 600-or-so-cc track tool, I'd have to gather $9000 worth of sterling pounds and trot over to my local Triumph dealer. The 675 is so sexy, so competent and carries such a tremendous buzz factor that it's the no-brainer pick of this litter. Hell, the things so good, I'd even take it on a few street sorties."

At the concluding "What We'd Buy" Table, all five testers voted the Triumph Daytona 675 as their No.1.

Game, set and match! Davo

PS Now I have the 33 pages all printed out, I'll go put the jug on and settle down for a nice read... see ya!

Davo I know you are excited about the Daytona, but what is your take on the new BMW 800? It is getting rave reviews!!

Hey Davo, a co-worker of mine just bought a Kawi 636. Seems to be a pretty good ride, and he is happy with it. Should I show him this article, or let him abide in his blissful ignorance?

The 636 is a nice machine, I got to ride a friend of mine's this past weekend. But I'm sure if I was getting another repli-racer, it would surely be the 675. Dang sexiest sportbike I've ever seen. Reminds me of my 1st thoughts on the 98 R1! Beautiful machine, now if my dealer will only get one that hasn't already been pre-sold, I'd like to ride one of those too! Anyone wanna donate, ummm... say.... $24-25k to me, so I can buy a new Rocket III and Daytona 675??? That would be a helluva collection! :-D

you cheapbastard, Cheapbastard :-D :-D :-D

Wilber, The 636 came second (equal) in the comparo and they liked it and said it had identical torque to the 675. Probably the extra 36cc's did it, the cheatin' ba*stards! davo

Leave him blithely happy with his Kow. The waiting list for the 2007 Daytona production run is growing too long as is.

Stevo, I've noticed the reveiws on the 800 as well. It won't thrill many Rocket owners but the touring version will probably make a good rental bike for us. davo
