Forum;

Well this weekend I got a great deal done around the house as well as on the bikes.

I installed the Cobrin Dual Tourer Seat. It turns out that the seat uses the same bracket for Corbins Rumble Seat that I had installed.

So, I had to adjust the brackets a bit but it mounted up nicely. I did realize that my mounting of the tank center rubber pad - was a tad bit low....but over time - the seat sat down nicely.

The dual tourer seat sets the driver back...there is a larger ride area vs the Rumble seat. Then I installed the oval studded back rest... and once it was adjusted the backrest is SWEET......

1) Is the riders seat more comfortable than the stock seat?

2) Is the passenger seat wider than the stock seat... my wife found it too hard after just 10 miles.

I've just fitted a Corbin dual tourer and Beetlebags for an upcoming trip to Croatia..I find the seat fantastic and my 'better-half' cannot begin to compare the Corbin with that razor blade that Triumph supply..Yep well recommended and no mistake.

I've had the Corbin DT on for about a year. So far not a peep from the back about discomfort.

And I love the interchangable backrest.

My $.02

Rickwats;

You know its very difficult to determine what works for me & mine - might work / not work for you and yours. But with that said, I will be candidly honest in my assessment.
I have had many a 'new bike' and I have yet to find one that has a seat that I have liked off the showroom floor. Only 1 off customs will use a Vendor specific saddle ... such as La Pera seats, Corbins, Mustangs, etc.
I have had Mustang seats, Corbins, and some off brands. When I got my Rocket - the stock Rocket seat / pillion didn't work for me. While it appeared to be comfortable - it was on the showroom and for maybe 1 day... Although the 100+ mile ride home from the 'stealers' was painful. I was squirming all over the seat.
I have personally found that I need support.. not softness under my bootie. The Corbin Dual Tourer seat is just that.. a seat that has some size to it... and is firm. The longer I ride... the firmness stays, but my bootie begins to 'mold' in the seat. I have had about a dozen Corbin saddles and that has been my personal experience.
The pillion seat is much more substantial than stock and significantly different than the Rumble seat. It looked like dental floss on the back compared to the rear tire.
