Forum;

About 6 months ago, I came across the cool trunk - but was puzzled on how to mount it. I recently came across a good deal on the Triumph Rack and sissy bar set - and thought I might be able to mount the trunk on the rack. Well - I can sort of. Because of the wide opening of the beetle bags, the trunk needs to sit up and to the rear.

I now need some advise on how to create- fabricate a more custom piece in between the two brackets. I have a link here or you may go to page 2 of my album and see all the pictures of the trunk.

Forum;

Update.... I may have come up with an idea. I am contemplating using some 3/16 Diamond Plate Aluminum for the base plate for the trunk.
I can have it cut to size.. then bend the side arms down and the tail piece for a license plate.
In all, it would be a one piece bolt on to the sissy bar / luggage rack supports. Thus eliminating the use of the rack altogether.
Then when I remove the license plate mounting bracket and turnsignals - I will re-route the wires to come out under the seat and up the arm of the support. With a quick disconnect coupling.
That way, when I want to remove the trunk- and use the rack... I can do so quickly.

Royal... Have alook at this seat and Rack set up from METCRUZE... I just got it for my bike and the rack sits well back and can be removed along with the sissy bar as easy as! I think Gary from METCRUZE would make a seat and rack for you to suit the topbox/trunk!

METCRUZE LINK

Cause your setup looks like *****!!! SORRY!!!! :hammer: :razz: :wink:
