Yeah Yeah... I'm just a shmuck! Chazzman was just asking about pipes Davo! Go sell him some doggies and be happy! Anyway, thanks for the pm on the BMW Adventure, I respect your opinion mate so thanks.

Man I gotta be careful around here... And on the other site! Lucky I have a big mouth so my foot fits comfortably :-D

I was just reading some of the comments about exhausts for the Rocket. I've gone back and forth trying to decide if that is something I really want to change on the bike. I don't particularly care for the three pipe look or the rather tame sound of the stock pipes. However, I'm wondering if anyone can give links with pictures of the different kinds of pipes on the rocket? I'm kind of leaning toward the Jardines based on several comments that I've read so far--no real research done however. How about a ballpark figure on price as well with the different makes. Also, a nagging question of mine is with all these people putting different pipes on the Rocket, can anyone tell me for a fact if this will in any way negate that aspect of Triumph's warranty?

Shouldn't affect warranty dude unless the pipes are the cause of any problem with the bike! The Jardines are a two pipe system. Some guys are putting a single sports can on the bike. But hey!!! It is a three cylinder Trumpy and really really should have three pipes!!!

Pics of jardines... will not void warranty.
Oh BTW... the BEST pipes for the RIII are... the ones YOU like best.

The whole bike looks great EJ. Like the studs on the tank cover and matching rear fender treatment as well. Awesome! davo

Thanks... the tank & fender bibs were just too plain... hadda spice them up. Used to be able to say that I was the only stud on the bike, but now I'm just one among many! LOL Early mornings here in Minnesota are still a bit brisk, but after June 1, the windvest comes off until sometime in October or November!

Very nice looking. What shield is that? Did you ever have the Triumph touring screen? If so, which one gives less turbulence around your head?

My shield is the 14" Windvest. I use it only in cold weather, it keeps the wind off your chest but not much else.

I am a bad person to ask about shields. Don't like them and don't use one if i don't have to. As for turbulence... there are many factors involved. I do not wear a helmet, but do wear my hair tied back and a smooth doo-rag. I get no head buffeting with the Windvest shield nor do I without a shield. With a helmet or even with unrestrained hair your aerodynamics are completely different and you may get buffeting.

In any case... I am a minimalist when it comes to a shield. Others here will sing the praises of the large barn door shields. It's all about your own preferences.
