There have been some issues with idle problems, and we are still investigating, one of the things that has come up is there is no map avl for the d&d's and k&n with pc-III. The jury is still out but right now i would be wary of the d&d's as i have talked with a few members with rockets that wont idle and all have d&d's. The tuneboy probably will fix this but we have not tried that yet. Looks like the TOR's or Jardines would be a better bet, but cost more. If anyone has anything to add that would be helpful.

But to answer your question about the D&D's..

I took my power commander off today and readjusted the throttle cables as they need play in them, probably the problem all along. The D&D's are working fine now, and my bike idles fine also. The D&D's look good and sound good, the pipes tuck in and dont stick out like the stock ones and there is no pipe on the left side and no cat, so you save weight (about 15 lbs).
Good luck
Unfortunately someone on the other site has problems with there jardines.

Moosey,

I view both sites and don't recall anyone complaining about the Jardines. Can you list the post for me to look up?

I'm dissapointed if I missed that because I've had the jardines for 3,500 miles and love them. I have had numorous comments about how good they sound, mostly from Harley Davidson riders. They not only look good, sound great but add to the performance of the Rocket.

Just installed Jardines and went to a Harley hang out and
you should have seen the looks on their faces I even
had a few come up and comment on the thunder.

Downsides:

1. Windows rattle in house now when entering garage &
wife is not too happy about that - especially when I stay
out late with the boys.

2. No longer able to sneak in late to work. They hear me pulling into the entrance 100 yards away now.

3. Have to replace batteries in MP3 player more often as I have
to crank it up to hear any music.

Besdes that they are awesome and have added 15% HP.

Bully Bully! Sounds like you got a nice set-up.

Time for some decent ear plugs or you can add Bell Tone to your list of expensive accessories. :wow:

Now that's what I'm talking about.

Chazzman... Consider the Staintune pipes with it's own cat delete. Not as loud as the Jardines or doggies, but gives you heaps more power! Still a nice sound though!

Steve, heaps more power? cut the **** mate! Unsupported statements are only opinion, not fact! Preface your comments with the likes of "This is only my humble opinion for what it is worth..." unless you are stating undebatable undeniable unchallengable and immutable fact!

Davo

Settle down Davo... I'm the one who was getting 140HP at the Rear wheel with Staintune pipes on with a standard filter set up! And now with Tuneboy I'm getting over 142HP on a better more balanced delivery... So I guess my humble opinion may just be backed up by a dyno chart! Figures were also quoted by Staintune before I purchased the pipes! :hammer:  Hey I have never said a bad word about any other pipes so I can only 'opine' on what I do know mate!

Oh... And what I do mean, to spell it out for you and anyone who cares and having re-read my previous post, is 'heaps more power than the stock pipes' Davo... Not the Doggies or the Jardines! Me thinks you are jumping the gun just a little bit mate!

Stevo, not wanting to get pedantic, but your statement about heaps more power followed directly from comments about Jardines and, er, Mad Dogs. It wouldn't have mattered if it had been any other brand of pipe, fact is, sweeping statements are hard to swallow unless supported by hard data. I guess if you were referring to the stock pipes, then fair enough but it didn't read that way to me!

While on the subject, dyno comparisons can only be truely relevent if motors are tested on the same dyno on the same day. Different dynos can give different readings. This can be due to different air temps and humidity levels as well as altitude levels but also a particular dyno will often produce different readings to the one just down the road. This is why when the new model crotch rockets are released, often times magazines quote differing figures than other magazines with their own "exhaustive" testing.
