Yup, Spring seems to have sprung here in the Mid-west! 2 days of "decent" weather and the price of gas rose accordingly ! So, yesterday I woke the beast from it's den (the back shed) got it "licensed" and away we rode. This was unbelievable. You know what I did to prepare it for winter? NUTHIN ! And it runs better than it EVER has! Still has the gas in it from the fall. This is MY KIND OF BIKE ! Doesn't get any better than this!

Hi there

Glad to hear you are back on the beast

In my part of the world it sounds strange to hear of people not riding their bikes all year round

We moan if we get a bit of rain

Regards

Harty

Am envious TRI-AL. Here in Switz., springtime seems to have been postponed by a month. It rains almost continuously and fresh snow fell two nights ago on the mountains surrounding the lake! Best.

Though I rode throughout the winter, as long as the temps were above 35F and no ice, it really is nice to ride in temps in the 70s. . albeit mornings are in the mid-50s.

Nonetheless, I ride to work and once a week I even get paid mileage to ride to another location. . .how awesome - getting paid to ride the Rocket.

ride on

You really didn't just stash the old gal in the shed last winter without gas stabilizer - trickle charger and then wake her up this spring. You got lucky.

PS ( Sorry for sounding like my Dad.)

I opted to take the bike out for a ride on non snow days, here in Phly. And worked on perfecting my cold weather gear - just as we are planning to move to the Texas Gulf Coast next year. Anyone need a snowblower?

PPS (Dang it more Dad talk.)

Be careful - that new spring feeling might cause you to over look little things. Checking tire pressure, bolts or too much speed.

No gas stabilizer - just a full tank of fresh gas. Same oil. Tire pressures remained unchanged. Did pull battery and charge indoors. Like I said, "It doesn't get any better than this!"
