... the 600cc-class comparo organized by 12 motorcycle mags (under the SWA, Supertest World Association banner) on the Almeria track in Spain (average lap times of all test riders between parentheses)

1st: Triumph D675 (1'52''07)
2nd: Yamaha YZF 600 R6 (1'52'' 36)
3rd: Suzuki GSX-R 600 (1'52''81)
4th: Kawasaki ZX-6R (1'53''03)
5th: Honda CBR 600 RR (1'53'' 40)

The D675 power dyno-measured @ 116.1 HP, about equal to that of the Yamaha @ 116.8 but lagging the Kawa @ 124.8.

The D 675 ultimatly won thanks to its "most homgenous" chassis and its "exemplary power delivery right from mid-rpm's".

Fantastic!!!

WOW!!! Go Triumph D675, and claim your rightful place at the top right alongside the hallowed Bonneville 650.

This little rocket is going to give the Japanese the hippy hippy shakes in the showroom for sure. Talking to my local dealer tonight and he tells me the've got 6 deposits in already! Might be seven if I can find where I left me cheque book! Davo

Davo, my friend, purchase highly recommended. Here the dealer has sold 6, mine included, and actual deliveries are only due in the course of April. Next allotment unknown. Futher to the crash of his demo unit (sad tale told on the other forum), he has again asked me to display mine in his showroom while I ride the Rocket III...
