Installed the Rivco risers today. Followed directions completely, to bad they did not mention the possibility of having electric grips. When we pulled off the throtte, my friend (an engineer) and I stared blankly at the two little tiny wires with no connector remaining in the handlebar.

Then I realized I had pulled the connector wires right out of the heated grip. Oh well, why do I suspect that you cannot purchase that side alone.

I have heated grips and didn't have to disconnect anything on that side to fit the risers!! :???:

I knew I had heated grips, did not think about the need to disconnect anything. It is possible that I was just a little shorter on the wire than you. You do have to pull off the throttle, and there is no way to disconnect the wire at the grip end. I would have had to disconnect it at the other end. If the wires were not so small I might have gotten some resistance before they let go.
