Welcome Mike,

Went to Daytona shortly after the 2004 Hurricane grazed same. Lots of sad looking palm trees, many blue tarped roofs and beach sand everywhere. I'm sure they are fine by now.

There are issues with rust. Do a search on the forum using "rust" as the seach word. If you are still under warranty and dealer is playing dumb, it's time to find a new dealer. This should be covered.

May I suggest Driver boards for your cruising comfort? Triumph or Rivco. Triumph boards require a brake line move, but Rivco are bolt and go. Both have mostly great reviews.

Enjoy the Daytona trip......sigh

Your kidding right. Rust on the FOOT PEG would prevent you from riding the beast to Daytona???????????

Get real or are you a Suzuki M109 plant?

Let's review. Ride the fastest, best looking, draws the most gawker ride or take the mundane, everyone has one machine to "show me your bike week"?

I can't believe this is for real????

Wipe some petroleum jelly on it and prepare to greet the crowd!!!!! :hammer:

A bit of rust prevailing upon a lotta lust? Is that it? And already grating on the dealer for such a major show (litterally-speaking) stopper

:???:

Welcome all the same, Mike

Damned right!, Hondax. This is exactly what every new Rocket III owner ought to do upon celebrating his acquisition. Shoud the "rust" search fail, they should try "failure", "recall", "kaput" etc.

Geeeesh!!! You guys are gonna scare the newbies off before they bother to post again! Jamie with his sarcasm and wit... And Rocketime with "Hey you are stupid!" attitude. Show some respect and a little empathy guys and drop the initiation... It's not the friggin army!

And anyway, can't you see that he's excited!? Besides the rust was probably from the last Hardley rider who took it for a test ride and pissed himself in the process

Even though it's a little tricky deciphering Knappers writing with the absence of punctuation, I believe he's being tongue in cheek with his "which bike" comment. Of course he's taking the Rocket and enjoying every minute of it. Even if that darn ole foot peg rusts clear off he'll proudly hold his foot high and ride on.

Once upon a time, there was a yound Lord who returned from the Crusades after a long absence. Much to the consternation of his Subjects, he indignantly repudiated his pretty, patient and loyal bride on the spot... upon noticing a rusty spot on her chastity belt
