I wasn't happy with the view from the rear so I had to start choppin'. I removed the entire turn signal and license plate bracket. Then I hung some Kuryakan LED bullet turn signals from the back side of the rear fender strut cover bolts. License plate is mounted with a standard side mount bracket off of the bottom shock bolt. I then replaced the stock flasher relay with an electronic one that will flash at the stock rate. The LEDs show up great especially at night when they light up the whole side of the fender.

Good job, looks clean.
The electronic flasher worked with the LEDs? That was one of the reason I didn't go with LEDs, didn't want to mess around with load balancers. Thanks, I'll keep that one in mind.

Thanks. I used an IC type 3 pole flasher that will work with both LED and incandescent lights. I got it here at Dennis Kirk. The flasher is behind the right side cover, it was an easy unplug then plug in the new.

Would love to see more pics of the turn signals. I did the same mod but am not happy with my LED turn signals and am looking for alternatives.

Thanks

Here you go Disco, the bracket is made from stainless and I used some loctite on the nut since there isn't much to bite on. The bracket fits over the other stud purely for stability.

Sweet!!!

I wish I would have been as inovative as you. I actually installed some surface mounted LEDs that look pretty good but don't show up too well in daylight.

I would like to use the same lights as you but I need to figure out which mounting bracket to use. I now have to cover the holes in the side of the fenders. I'm thinking that one of the Kuryakyn mounts will work for my setup.

Anyone have a suggestion?
