I was at my local dealer today dropping off a part and I was admiring the new Rocket III models. The black-engine/2 tone model is stunning, as was the silver-engine version with hard bags.

I popped open a saddle bag and... PEW! A strong odor of plastic resin or glue ***** near made me puke. I have no idea if this was a one-off problem, or symptomatic of all new bikes.

Anyone else with this problem? Not exactly the new bike smell I'm looking for.

I wonder if those were Corbin Bags... some of the fiberglass in those is... ah... er... kinda fresh

Put 'em out in the sunlight... they get worse...

After awhile they cure and smell subsides.

That's what they sound like. I know when I first opened my Corbin boxes, it was a pretty good wiff there!

I think it was the glue Corbin uses on the liner. Mine were pretty bad for a while, it went away.
