Not having seen or heard the Jardine exhaust system - can anybody tell me their likes  , or their dislikes :cuss: . in terms of fit, finish, and sound.

I installed them on my bike about 6 months ago.

The +'s: Much louder, noticeable increase in power, much lower idle speed (actually lopes almost like a twin), a full exhaust system, not just mufflers on a stock system.

The -'s: Much louder. I'm already hard of hearing and I have to wear ear plugs to prevent my ears from constantly ringing. (even though they really doesn't help that much) These babies will test the relationship you have with your neighbors.

Good luck.

Ken

I wanted to add that the fir isn't precise. Make sure you use new gaskets (not furnished and use high-temp sealant for use with oxygen sensors.

So LOUD that when one goes cruisin' downtown when them on his bike, street hookers all pretend to be waiting for the city bus.

yup, removed the cats and added some dogs (mad dogs) and the bike is muthaf#$%^ingly loud. the drone is amazing, obnoxious and offensive...everything you want from a bad bike like the rocket.
however, when i bought the bike i thought i'd mistakenly picked up a BMW, even wit the cat box removed.

the trick is to push in the earplugs fully, grin and bear it...if you go fast enough, you outrun the noise!

Sounds is really cool! But doesn't run as smooth as with the stock pipes.

Agree. That, and my hearing, are why I am keeping my bike stock.

My Honey Bear has them. Sounds really cool! He got them for the noise, extra horses, and he didn't like the way the original three pipes were. I like the sound. But I like the existing set up on the pipes and don't need the extra horses. And I like the smoothness of the stock pipes. So I can't see ever needed to change them.

I ran across a good deal on some Jardine pipes ... Jardine boxed and shiped a header system with only one muffler! I got the system for four bills and bought a stainless steel mandral bent pipe replace the missing parts under the bike where the cad. was and now have a three into one under the left side Corbin bag. Before I put the bags on I didn't think that the Rocket made very much noise on the road, the bag helps keep most of the noise directed towards the pavement and behind the bike, however when it is started in the garage with the door closed it is a little loud!

When I go in for the first oil change and check up, I plain on having the dealer tweek the computer i.e. power band etc.
